a Donation
1. Make a one
time, tax free donation in any amount - the money will be used to
cover general operating expenses.
2. Sponsor one child -
for US$25.00 per month or US$300.00 a year - or sponsor several children.
May we prevail upon you to commit for at least one year; that way
each child is assured the benefits of the sponsorship for a full twelve
months. You will receive a packet of information on each child you
sponsor.
3. Help a family to acquire
a house - a US$200.00 contribution will go a long way toward this
end. Commensurate with their circumstances, we help needy families
with some of the costs, but we also require their participation in
the form of money, work or materials.
4. Skills training donation
- US$50.00. At present 10 unschooled adults are registered in reading
and writing classes four hours on Saturdays. We have paid for courses
in bread making and nutrition for women who work in our kitchen; we
are also paying the high school validation expenses for another.
At present we are set up
to receive only cash, checks, or money orders. If you send your contribution
by mail, please do not send cash. Checks should be made out to: Cigarra.
